Billionaire investor Carl Icahn has a negative view of bitcoin, calls them ‘ridiculous’

Carl Icahn, the famous billionaire investor said that he is not very fond of bitcoin and all the various cryptocurrencies and also described them as “ridiculous”. He also said that he may have gotten too old for this “stuff” and he is not going to deal with them anymore.

Bitcoin is now recovering back from a low it has been facing since three months and was trading at $7,000 mark on Tuesday, as per the reports by Coindesk. Amidst all the increasing worries about regulations, the value of bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies has dipped to an all-time low in recent weeks.

He said that he does not like cryptocurrencies and also confessed that he does not understand them. He made these claims in an interview on “Fast Money Halftime Report” and “how do you control them”.He also said that he is too old for this trend and he is never going to involve himself in this matter.

Bitcoin was reportedly knocked down by several top leading business investors at the World Economic Forum in Davos at Switzerland, in the last month.

The chairman and CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase, Jamie Dimon spoke that virtual currencies are never going to be a chief contender against the dollar. But he also said that blockchain is a good way of making efficient and safe transactions. He also said that he is guilty of identifying bitcoin as a fraudulent currency in September.

Icahn is a famous activist investor. He was a regulation advisor working for the President, Donald Trump and later resigned in August.
